Why Yak wool? Mongolian Yak is one of the world’s rare animal that inhabited in green zone 2000-4000 meters high mountains. Special geographical location and extreme climate of Mongolia modified our Yak fiber structure. In order to keep its warm in minus 40 gradus Celsius, Mongolian Yak has woolen fiber on its skin which is called “Khuuvur”. The Khuuvur grows on Yak’s skin from September to November. 80% of the yaks are dark blue colored, which exist only in Mongolia. Mongolians produce a different sort of clothes by the yak wool.
